with a new year
comes new hope
new aspirations

if you are reading this on 1st january after having a massive hangover from partying too much
well lets just say u had the time of your life on this new years eve
lets c what happened this year
january-
part time work as a drink promoter
for a about a month
earned 750 dollars
not too bad
february- the beginning of my arcade days
first time playing maximum tune 2
and the rest is history
most of the time nuaing around
slacking
enjoying civillian life
march-
A level results
bad results
CDE c5 for gp
applied for uni
got rejected by both ( SMU and NTU)
went to hk for the last time before enlistment
met my relatives
shop and eat

first week
my uncle from canada came to sg.
took him on tour around sg
bird park
zoo
etc
he sent me off together with my parents when i enlisted

enlistment into the organisation
on the fast craft....i already felt damn sad
with tears in my eyes.... i saw my parents and others leave at the jetty..

ex gemini - deployment ( basically dig shellscrape for urself and a spare one, then hover there for dunno how long up to OC to determine)
ex cub- deployment plus advance to contact ( clearing obstacles along the way ie. wire obstacles, bridge small gaps)
ATP- basically firing m16 at range
December-live mine arming
PIT phase ends
EX bear- first year evaluation...... deployment cum advance to contact
turn ops! end of trainee phase
hai so much of the above about army...
what to do im still in service for another 14months until i return back to cv world

in a corner of my room
theres a collection of stuffed toys
pikachus to be exact
many of them
some of em are old
dating back to 98/99
real tattered and torn
others are more recent
theres one thing i love about em
theyre smiling all the time
happy bright and cheery
even in the cartoons
which i used to watch till bout 5 years ago
pikachu keeps a bright mood around it...regardless of the situation
everytime i look at em
i cant help but wonder
why cant i be more cheery
it is after the all the christmas season
it should be a joyful occasion full of festivites

tuesday was a leave for me
used up one of my leave
tuesday nite bookin

office orderly
nothing much to do
darn boring
but beats guard duty anitime
thursday morning bookout got home around 0845
fell asleep around 0930 woke up 1350....
bah later than i wanted
headed off to the arcade later
my usual routine of WMMT2
must have spent close to a thousand bucks on this game since february this year
for some reason i hopelessly addicted to it
perhaps i yearn to drive a real car
minus the 300km/h crazy antics
still cant come close to those clans
booked in thursday nite
today in the morning had pt
after that had to pack stuff for standby
frustratingly frustrated trying to squeeze items into tuperware.............
imo
standby is like
a darn waste of time and effort
plus money....... all the items just to create a second field pack
one for chiong sua
the other just for standby
alas this is the SAF
no darn choice
new years eve is coming and so is the new year........
go ahead and celebrate
for those of legal age
dun drink too much
party hard but smart
lolz that doesnt apply to me
the concept of partying is alien to me

trainee life is over
no more outfield excercises for a few months
last one was a killer due to lack of sleep and hideous rain
so ops life await
construction course starting in jan
stayout for 2 months
YAH!
but still got to come back
just for battalion pt..
coming back for standby duty is a must
but just for pt????
i dun think thats a good idea
remedial lessons missed have to be conducted on sat mornings...

its hard to progress without struggling in battles

so like its about exactly 8 months ago that i enlisted into this organisation
and just yesterday or so
a new batch of peeps just poped from tekong
this weekend is gonna be darn short
today morning got to go to kallang
for dragon boating
part of company cohesion
quite fun
havent done it in a while
after that went off to my usual hangout at ps
saw a lot of peeps from my platoon
stuck around with them for a while
had my share of mmt2
and back home
spent a great deal of time reading up bout how to convert movies for psp
argh i even dloaded the programs only to realise that i dont have a usb cable for the psp
CRAP!!!!!!
and my memory stick is like only 32 mb
next time must get 1,2 or even 4 gb
sianz i dont know how to use all those homebrew software
always have to buy the discs just to play
otherwise can save loads

i already feel the pre book in blues
why?
cos got to book in tml at 1900 instead of the usual sunday nite 2200
live mine arming on sunday
outfield again from tuesday to friday next week
it better not rain

but its kind of fun

one more week and its back to outfield again come 12 dec
